Did you know there are many winter fruits?

Sometimes it can be hard to think of fruits that are in season during the winter months. But there are lots of great winter fruits available! Pomegranates, oranges, persimmons, pears and grapefruit are just a few of the many winter fruits out there. Of course, it can vary from region to region, but generally speaking these are considered “in season”.

So why not put together some of these winter fruits together with some yogurt and granola and call it a Winter Fruit Yogurt Bowl. It’s so easy to make and super healthy for you too!

Let’s get started with the recipe. First you’ll want to grab your favorite brand and flavor of  yogurt. Greek or regular is totally up to you. If you’re looking for a bit extra protein, try going Greek. I love Chobani, Siggis, and Fage but you can choose whatever you like. Then you’ll want to add some fruits. Here I added pomegranate seeds, rose orange slices, and pears. For some extra crunch and texture add your favorite granola or check out my homemade granola recipe.

If you’re on the go, this is yogurt bowl is perfect for you. Just grab a container and put in all the ingredients. I’d leave the granola on the side so it doesn’t get too soggy. And if you’re a working momma or a stay-at-home momma simple recipes like this are a great thing because they require little assembly and little clean up. Win, win!

Hope you enjoy this vibrant yogurt bowl as much as I did.

Happy eating from my kitchen to yours!

  1. I eat yogurt bowls all year, and always significantly enjoy them more in the summer. I think it’s a mind set, yogurt always seems like a summer food to me maybe? Anyway, glad to see this take with some Winter ingredients! Thanks!
