It’s chocolate chip cookie day!
But isn’t that every day? I just love chocolate. And chocolate chip cookies with a strong cup of black coffee… Mmmmmm, so delightful. It’s the simple things that keep life going.
These chocolate chip cookies were adapted from the Food Network. I have used this recipe for years but I wanted to find a way to alter it so I could get fluffy, yummy, cookies every single time. It’s so easy and you can make the cookie dough all in one bowl. Yes, ONE BOWL! Less dishes! And for me that’s a great thing because we don’t have automatic dish washer. My friends, we do it the old fashioned way here.
First to make these delicious things, you want to mix the dry ingredients together. The flour, salt, and baking powder all mixed in a large bowl. Next you make a well in the dry ingredients, and add the melted butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk those together in the well. If some flour gets into the wet ingredients, that’s okay. Then you want to fold the dry ingredients into the well until everything is just combined. Then fold in the chocolate chips. Once that’s done, roll up the dough into 1 inch balls, or larger if you like MONSTER size cookies. Keep about an 1″ away from each other. Bake for 12 minutes or until cookies are slightly golden. Try to not eat all the cookies in one sitting. That’s easier said then done for me and my hubby.
I don’t know about you, but every time I bake something I always want to eat the batter. No matter if it’s cookies, cakes, muffins, you name it. There’s always a risk in eating raw batter, but it just so good! Maybe I’ll just have to come up with an eggless recipe that’s healthy and safe to eat.
Hope you enjoy these cookies as much as we did!
