4 Ingredient Trail Mix

The leaves are finally beginning to change in my neck of the woods and it’s so beautiful. Fall is probably my favorite season of the year. With all the fall leaves, it only encourages a trip to the mountains to see the gorgeous changing of the seasons. Which, I have to admit, is one of my favorite things to do. So, if you find yourself going on a lovely hike or walking trails of a nearby park or neighborhood, you will want to keep with you a bag of this delicious, 4 Ingredient Trail Mix. There’s protein mixed with sweetness for a perfect blend of happiness!

This recipe can be altered to fit your taste and what you have on hand. It’s so easy to make and stores so well. All you need to make this 4 Ingredient Trail Mix is your favorite granola, dried fruit, chocolate, and nuts. I used my basic homemade granola,  dried cranberries, M&Ms (trying not to eat all of them), and mixed nuts. I measured 1 cup each of granola, M&Ms, and mixed nuts. For the cranberries, I measured 1/2 cup. If you’re not a fan of M&Ms, you can use chocolate chips. Or if you’re trying to skip out on the chocolate, consider using pretzels or coconut flakes.

Literally.So.Easy.

Mix it all together and serve up. Store in an airtight container.

I love this Trail Mix recipe because it’s so simple. Being a momma, simple is good. Plus if I don’t have time to make a snack, this is a great go-to for me because it involves ZERO cooking. The hardest thing about this was photographing it. Learned that wearing a red shirt isn’t ideal for taking food photos. Why? Well, using a white bowl will reflect it. Remembering that for my next food photo shots.

Easy, healthier 4 Ingredient Trail Mix. Perfect blend of protein and sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granola
  • 1 cup M&Ms
  • 1 cup mixed nut, raw (or roasted if that's your preference)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together granola, M&Ms, mixed nuts and cranberries.
  2. Serve and enjoy.
  3. Store in airtight container.

Recipe Notes

This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled depending on how much you need.
